The Ross Foundation

History and Mission

The Ross Foundation, a charitable foundation was established after the death of Robert P. Ross, Sr. in July of 1997. The Foundation is dedicated to the cause of granting scholarships to area youths. The Foundation was endowed on January 20, 1998 with a donation of $10,000 by the General Motors Corporation from Buick Motor Division and GMC General Managers at the General Motors Minority Dealer Meeting. Over the years, we have combined our efforts with The Dayton Area Heart and Cancer Associations. We have contributed financially to help national tragedies such as support for Katrina victims in 2005 and matched employee donations to the 911 Fund in 2001. In addition, our Foundation has donated to other community causes and organizations. Other scholarships are currently being reviewed.
